This tour can also be extended to include a trip to Robben Island on the 14h00 or 15h00 ferry, probably the most famous island due to the fact that Nelson Mandela was held there as a political prisoner for many years. It is now a national museum.

If the guests chose to do Robben Island as well, They will be taken to the Waterfront from where the ferry departs and join the ferry where the Robben Island guides (ex-prisoners) take over.

They will then spend about 2.5 hours on the Island where they will be taken into the prison where, amongst other things, they will also see the cell where Mandela spent so many years.

The ferry returns to the Waterfront at aprox. 18h30 and clients need to make their own way back to their accommodation.
